The star Domingo began his illustrious career in Italy precisely at the Arena di Verona in the summer of 1969, with Turandot and Don Carlo. A top-level international career then followed, which continues to this day, as a tenor, baritone, orchestra conductor, general manager and mentor of young talents. The performances already scheduled with which he will be the star of 2019, therefore further strengthen the deep bond between the Verona amphitheatre’s Opera Festival and this great artiste, 50 years after his debut on the world’s largest stage.
